SITNA's appearance has not only reaped advantages from the steep growth of new technologies based on the Internet or the democratisation of GIS, but also due to the availability of this technology in Navarra. Without a certain level of technological maturity, the appearance and development of SITNA would not have been feasible.
TRACASA, a public company founded in 1982, initially to implant the Navarra Urban and Rustic Cadastres, has made a great effort to develop new technologies to process territorial information during all its phases and it has equipped itself with its own resources for service provision.
TRACASA provides SITNA with:
- Highly qualified human and technical resources: TRACASA has become the ideal support for many different pieces of work requested by different units from Navarra public administrations. This means an external response with a very high level of homogeneity when integrating the information referring to the territory of Navarra.
- Its experience: TRACASA, over the last few years, has accumulated a large amount of experience derived from developing new technologies to obtain, process and disseminate geographic information. Its commercial nature means that it has to incorporate all the innovations that take place in this technological field.
