Organizational framework defined in Lisige
INSPIRE Directive was incorporated into national law with the 14/2010 Law about infrastructures and geographic information services in Spain (LISIGE)
This Law gave the National Cartographic System a legal level, which had already been approved in the 1545/2007 Royal Decree.
It designs its operating lines based on the cooperation between different Administrations and on a free spreading of geographical information through the IDEE.

The Spain’s Geographical Information Infrastructure Board of Directors (CODIIGE) is established dependant of the Geographic and provided with Technical Work Groups (TWG) to carry out its functions.
SDI’s Specialized Commission , IDE’s Work Group, its Subgroups and Forums set up the interactive environment for development of INSPIRE and LISIGE.
