Additional quality elements
As the quality elements defined in the ISO Core were not
considered sufficient, three more elements were added.
- Declaration: General explanation of the
productive process given by the data producer.
- Level: Hierarchic level for the data included in the field
(attribute, dataset, series, sheet...).
- Type of quality control: Defines the quality
reports carried out on the data. These reports are highly important to determine
which quality controls the data has undergone.
In some cases, these processes are kept under strict control because they are
widespread or included in the very processes of producing the data and/or reports are also drawn up
(as in cartography or aerial photographs)
but in other cases there is no record of the controls the data has undergone.
For each of these types of quality control, the following is specified:
- Name of the measure: Name of the test run on the data.
- Description of the measure: Description of the test run on the data.
- Result: Value obtained when carrying out a quality
measure on the data or compliance with an acceptable quality level.
