Additional SITNA elements
The IDENA metadata profile includes 6 further elements that were considered interesting for SITNA's needs and yet were not covered by the other elements.
- Alternative title: Short name, name in another language or acronym by which the catalogued information is known.
- Father identifier: Identification number for the metadata file that this metadata is part of (son).
- Maintenance and updating frequency: Continually, daily, not planned, according to needs, etc.
- Status: Status of the resource (if it is completed, in progress, obsolete, etc...).
- Extra information: Any other descriptive information on the dataset that might be of interest for the user.
- Distribution: This section includes all the information from the
standard referring to the distribution metadata, except the information
already contained in the Core (On-line
Resource y Distribution Format):
- Distributor. Mention of the person or organisation through which the resources can be obtained (description of their job and contact data).
- Information on the request process.
- Digital transfer options.
