Additional elements within the NEM
The Spanish Metadata Core (NEM) includes 4 additional elements, considered important due to the information that they provide on the data.
- Key words (topic, place, discipline, stratum and time frame). Words used to describe the topic, place, discipline, stratum and time frame corresponding to the set of data.
- Form of presentation: Mode in which the resource is presented (this element, in addition to determining the type of file: table, document, model, etc. indicates whether this is a digital or a printed file).
- Use: Brief description of the resource and/or the resource's series used. It has been included because it is referenced in the Water Framework Directive (DMA).
- Proposal: Summary of the intentions for which the resource has been created. It was decided to include this as it is referenced in the Water Framework Directive (DMA).
